Shamira choreographed and appeared in the 2000 MTV Music Video Awards seen round the world.

Her recent DVDs were so informative that I decided to check out her 2000 "Wanna Dance" Zills Workshop video and I found an innovative, easy to learn approach to teaching videos Shamira teaches the dance combos then puts new phrases and words to the cymbal strikes that make playing so much fun that beginners will learn to move and play together from the very beginning. Her approach will help you play variations and teach you when to pause to make your playing musical. I tried this approach with a class of 7 students who had never put cymbals on their hands. Within the hour, all played 3's 5's and runs to some extent and all had done at least some movement while playing cymbals.
